School time...

Its another great night at school. Learning all the important facts of the world so I can better myself.....who am I kidding. I am sitting in class wondering how long I will have to sit in here tonight. Last week we were able to leave about 1 1/2 hours early. I don't really want to be here alnight. The Prof already said that he is going to let the class use the last haft of the class to work on our team assignment. I have already completed my section of my the team assignment so I wonder if I can just leave. This week we are learning about the cultural differences that a business needs to be aware of when doing business online. This would normally be a very interesting class, however, this class is the prerequisite for a class I took over a year ago. Somehow this class slipped through the cracks, so I have had other classes that COMPLETELY covered this topic. Luckily the Prof is a good instructor (other than he is a grammar nazi).
That's all for now.

More problems

Ok, tonight I was working my car again. It is all back together and runs perfect......with a small catch....the speedometer doesn't work. Well, I think I have narrowed it down a bit, the problem either lies with the small gear that goes into the transmission or the transmission itself. At first I thought it was the sensor, but I decided to do a few unsafe tests, like running the car while on jack stands, letting the wheels spin, all the while I was leaning into the engine bay. The point of this unsafe experiment was to see if I could actually see the gears inside the speed sensor hole spinning. Well from what I could see they seemed to be spinning just fine. Then I decided to take of the top half of the speed sensor to see if I could actually see the moving parts in the sensor itself. Since I was able to see them, I then turned the sensors gear by hand and could see that the sensors mechanical parts functions as one would expect. So this is where the excitement comes in. I then decided to stick the bottom half of the sensor, with the internal components exposed, into the transmission. This isn't as deadly as it sounds, but its not the safest thing to do. Anyways, no matter what I did I could not get the gears inside of the speed sensor to turn, so this leads me to believe there must be something else wrong. I dont know if its the gear on the bottom of the sensor that has gone bad or if its the gear in the transmission that somehow has worn down and will not touch the gear on the sensor. Either way, I have problems. I think I am destined to drive the bronco and waste gas. Luckily for me, this Iraqi oil burns just fine.

Love/Hate relationship

I love buying things off line, it saves me time(which I have little of) and money(which I have even less of these days). Everyone knows that if your going to buy something off line, there are bound to be some losses due to the increasing number of morons out there. I figure if I am buying something off line, If I dont have the money to just loose, then I better not buy it. This is just incase someone decides they need your money more than you need the item you are buying. There have been multiple times where I have had some shady character say they are selling someone only to find out they lied. Luckily for the most part, I use PayPal for all my transactions and have been able to recover all but $74.87 on items that I had paid for and never arrived. It always seems like the poeple that try to take you for money isn't on the expensive purchases, its on the $30-80 items. So its more annoying than anything. They all pretend to play the game, say they mailed it, then they change their story and say they mailed it at a later date. By that time you have them figured out and they just deny, deny, deny that they would ever try to take someones money. They have their "reputation" to look out for. Always the same B.S. If you press them hard enough, the sometimes acutally send what they agreed to in the first place.
Anyway, after a etended period of time where I have not been "taken" for some small change, on the 3rd of this month I was fortunate enough to do business with another great internet seller. I needed a few parts to get my prelude back on the road, so I created a WTB ad on one of the many forums I visit. A guy responded and said he had the parts I needed. I did a little checking on the guy and found he had been on the forum for quite a long time, so I figured this lowered the chances of him just taking the money and running. Well, while talking to him he claimed he sent the package by priority mail (takes 2-3 days you've seen the commercials) the 2-3 days past......Nothing. So I called him on it, he told me I was impatient and that I needed to relax. I again called B.S. but had no choice but to wait. Days 5,6, 7 went by....everyday I let the seller know I didnt receive the package and that he was full of it. Then he makes a comment about how he sent the package by DHL instead of shipping......WOW what a surprise, he lied. I again told him he was full of it and used the type of language my mother would prefer wasn't in my vocabulary. Day 8,9, and now day 10 still nothing, so I filed a claim with my trusty PayPal and what to my wondering eyes did appear......An email from the seller with a tracking number from DHL. Its only 10 days late, who knows if it will acutally get here or if its just a bogus (stolen) tracking number, It even says it will be delievered today.....but I guess we have to see since it is already 7:30pm and I really dont think DHL delivers after hours.

On a side note, to the "creator" you should already know girls are crazy.....YOU created them after all.
