Good Times...

After another not so wonderful night of sleep, I am back. Time for me to clean up all my junk, pack it, and get ready to ship out. Since check out for the "hotel" is around noon and my training doens't end until 3 or 4, I get to stow everything in my rental until I get to start the trek home. One thing I would like to mention before I forget is the special features this hotel has. The one that has been the handest (besides the bottle opener in the bathroom) is the heat lamp, which also happens to be in the bathroom. I wonder why it is really there. I can only guess that when this place was built there wasnt such a thing as heaters. Then instead of freezing when you get out of the shower, you just turn on the timer and BAM you now have heat. THe only other explination for it is that it allows you to pretend you are on the beach someplace as you drink your beverage while on the tolet. I mean, it is super bright and hot after all. Plus if you have been drinking enough to make use of the bathroom bottle opener, you might actually forget you are in a '50s dump.
Anyway, once training is over, I have to get in my rental and drive to the airport. I basically have only the "required" amount of time for the drop off and pre-screening duties. Once I am in the airport, I will sit and wait for my flight for an hour or so. Then I get to head home.
Once again, I must get going I have a ton of stuff that I need to do and I can't just was my time typing on this blog.
I know many of you wanted something a little more exciting to read, well excitement isn't part of the trip when you have to go for training. (and it's a little far for scratz to drive and bail me out of jail)

Sunrise...

It's another day here in Maryland. Another long night on the rock hard things called a mattress. I can't really say they are rock hard, because there is a little give in them. I almost think they built the beds out of plywood and then wrapped them in fabric. Also I thought my room was facing West, but when the sun was stabbing me in the eyes at 5am, I found out otherwise.
Anyways, Last night I drove around the Baltimore area for a little bit, got lost with the gps, and then went to eat at Ruby Tuesday's. (long story, will have to post that one later)

There are two things that I have notice about the people of this area more than anything else. First, they all LOVE sports. It doesn't matter what sport they are talking about but they all have their favorites. The people will go out of their way to talk to other people about sports. This includes cars stopped at stoplights, people sitting at different tables in a restaurant, or even during a training meetings. When I say talk about sports, They really talk about sports. From the stats of certain players, to who "their" team is scouting for the year. It's pretty interesting to see both men and WOMEN talk so adamantly about their "team". I made the mistake of wearing my Michigan State hat to a few places now and apparently I should be shot. Who knew that the Spartans were so disliked by this area.
Second, every one here LOVES crab. If you go to any of the restaurants, the first thing on the menu is crab or crab cakes. Do you have to like seafood just because you live by the sea? The answer is apparently yes. Luckily they still have other things to eat because if I had to eat seafood or crab I would end up starving to death. I wasnt born with the taste for fish. I have tried many different types of fish and many different ways to cook the fish, but I have always had the same results, it tastes like fish. YUCK. If there was a third thing that I have noticed, it would be that no one believes I am from UT, They say all the UTahn's have some strange accent. So I guess that is a good thing.
Well, I was going to add a few more stories to this long blog, but my alarm is going off which is telling me I need to get out the door to go learn some more exciting stuff from the NSA.

Bright and Early...

Its now 04:30am and (wait I mean 06:30 EST) It is way to early for me to be awake. I still have to get ready for the day and be to my appointment by 7. I know my sister likes the east coast because of the humidity and how curly it makes her hair, but I have a great dislike of it. I think I officially have an afro. Luckily I have tons of hair product to glue it down. Ok, that is all for now or I will be late. However to show how nice of a place this is, I will include a picture of the sweet accommodation's.

You know it's a great place when there is a bottle opener in the bathroom!

It's Late

After terrible delays and getting lost driving in the dark trying to find the Maritime Institute, I made it. I will have to tell about my experiences in Ohio and Baltimore airports when I have more energy to type. It's 10:35pm here and I have been up since 4:30am Mountain time. However, this place is a Navy Base or was a Navy Base and my long hair doest really fit in. lol

I will post more in the morning after training.

OHIO?????

Here I am sitting on the floor at the Cincinnati airport. Im not sure why but we were diverted here. So now I get to sit and wait for a plane to replace the plane we were on.

For the last 5 hours, I sat by my new temporary friends. You know the friends you meet on a plane and they tell you their life story. My new friend is a nurse at the Ohio eye institute, they were heading back from Vegas where they spent time with their aunt Bonnie. Oh, I just found out that we will be delayed for about an hour due to a bad weather pattern in Baltimore. Back to my story, Bonnie is an 80+ year old lady that is a real estate person in Vegas. She lets her family come out to her condo whenever they want and shows them a great time. The other temporary friend didn’t talk as much, she was more concerned about the fact that she was scheduled for 3 meetings tomorrow at 0800am and has no idea how she is going to make it to the meetings. The rest of the time, she slept with her mouth open with her head lying against the window.

Anyways, that is about all for this quick blog, I must find something to eat. I haven’t had anything since my jalapeño bagel this morning.
Catch you all later.

Vegas Baby....

Well, I a currently sitting in Las Vegas Airport. Not much to do here and I have an hour to waste. As promised here is a picture of of the slots......

Luckily I have my majic phone that allows me to connect to the internet. without it I think I would be lost. I cant believe they dont have free internet at these places. For the amount of time people spend here and how much money they waste at the gift shops, you would think they would give the internet to you.

Well, thats all for now. I must make a phone call and check in. Since I cant play on the internet and talk on the phone at the same time. I will blog again later.

SLC airport

Here I am sitting in my airport concourse at the SLC airport. Not much to tell you about other than they charge an arm and a leg for gum. I had to buy gum because I decided to eat a jalapeño bagel with egg and cheese. IT was very tasty, I really was going to go for the assiago cheese bagel; however I figured a little spice in the morning is very good. One thing I have noticed it that the airport does not have air-conditioning or at least they do not have it turned on. It is soooooo hot in here, I cant wait to sit by a sweaty stinky person for a nice long flight.
Luckily, I am not wearing a suit, like the guy 10 feet from me, he must be dying.

I honestly think it is at least 90 deg in here. The next stop is Vegas, I plan on wining big so I don’t have to work anymore. The travel thing is fine, but I would rather have millions of dollars so I could relax in a pool and drink margaritas all day and night. That’s all for this stop, but keep watching. I plan to out blog the other business traveler by a mile. J

Time to leave

It's 0530hrs, time to head to the airport. If all goes well, I should make it to my first stop by 0800hrs.
